So I've overstayed my visa by over a year and plan on leaving in a couple days. 3 mains issues 1. the overstay 2. lost departure card 3. fresh passport with all clear pages (have old passport with most recent visa). How should I go about to ensure that if I get a plane ticket and turn myself in I won't end up being detained and missing my flight? Should I contact the american embassy regarding this? Also I've heard its possible to avoid blacklisting through some sort of agent? Where can I find said agent?

You will need your new and old passports when you check in for your flight and clear immigration.

The missing departure card  is irrelevant when leaving the country. You will just need to complete a new one.

When you go to departure immigration they will fine you 20k baht and ban you from entering the country for 3 years for an overstay of more than one year.

No problem leaving the country but allow for the extra time to clear immigration before your flights departure time.

I am not aware of any agents that can assist you with avoiding the 3 year ban.

So I've overstayed my visa by over a year... and rightfully will be banned from returning for three years.

We seem to be getting many of these Newbie posts: overstays, stuck in jail, who pays for my flight home, help I need a lawyer, got into a fight, my girlfriend has run off with everything, please visit my go fund me page etc etc etc
