I am going to Thailand soon and I am from USA. I don't have enough time to get the non o visa from the Thai embassy in Usa, so I am going to come to Thailand and get a 30 day stamp tourist visa. Can I then go next day and get a non o visa at the Thai embassy in Cambodia? If so how long does it take and price?

What is the purpose of your visits? Under certain circumstances you can apply for the visa from immigration in-country.

On what basis would you be applying for the non-o visa (marriage to a Thai, over 50 and etc). It hard to answer you question without that info.

I would not recommend going to the embassy in Phnom Penh for any visa.

marriage, better to go to Laos?

Either location in Laos would be a better choice. 

Savannakhet will issue a multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage with no financial proof required.

Vientiane will only issue a single entry non-o visa.

Do you plan on applying for a one year extension at immigration?

You would apply at the designated office for where your are living.

Makes since. What paperwork would I have to show at Laos Savannakhet to get the Non O visa based on marriage? How long does it take to get the visa same day??

You will need a copy of your passport photo page. Marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card signed by her. 

You apply the morning of one day prior to 11am and pickup the next afternoon.

The fee is 2000 baht for a single entry or 5000 baht for a multiple entry.

I have a question, I need to apply for visa change for non-O for my 6y.o. My HR dept at work tells me now I can't apply at Chaeng Watthana, though i used to be able to do it before. I think it's bullcrap and they don't know what they're saying, I applied ok in February, the Immi people from CW did not mind, it's just my HR messed up the papers. So what changed since February in the non-o applications?
