April 20, 20197 yr I have has an O visa based on marriage for 11 years, but it is possible under the new Visa Regs. that I may not get an extension this year. However I have a teaching job, with a contract, teachers licence, current work permit etc. so could I change to a O B Visa? and what if any is the Minimum salary I have to show
April 20, 20197 yr There are no changes to the requirement for an extension of stay based upon marriage. It is still 400k baht in a Thai bank for 2 months or proof of 40k baht income. You can use your income from teaching if it is 40k or more by showing payment receipts and your tax return filed this year. You could change to an extension based upon teaching if you wanted to. No need to go out for a non-b visa.
April 20, 20197 yr You can change to a Non-immigrant "B" extention, which is what unmarried foreign teachers obtain. For teachers, there is no minimum required salary. Edited April 20, 20197 yr by allane x
