Does anybody currently use a system to save an image by way of the Cache please?
This could be on Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome of any other search engine.

It used to be easy on IE, but in spite of Googling this quest, none of the suggested alternatives have proved successful to date.

Can you elaborate? Do you want to visit a page and then retrieve an image from this page from your browser's cache?

Yes correct.

Why don't you right click on the image and save it?

 

If there is a script, which disables right click, install a plugin such as Quick Javascript Switcher (Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/quick-javascript-switcher) and disable JS before clicking.

 

Alternatively click F12 in Chrome - this will display the development console. Switch to the "Network" tab and reload the page - you will see all the page elements with their respective paths. Just copy and paste the path to the image in your browser and you will be able to access and save it directly.

 

Finally,  you can use a plugin such as this one: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/download-all-images/ifipmflagepipjokmbdecpmjbibjnakm?hl=en to grab all images from a page (there other tools like this, which will allow you to crawl through a whole website and get all images).
