Crime Suppression Division police in Bangkok announced the arrest of a Thai woman married to a Nigerian man who is the head of a gang of international Romance Scam swindlers.

Thippawan Narkkorn, 39, from Nonthaburi was arrested outside an apartment building in Tiwanon Road, Nonthaburi, yesterday.

She was named in an arrest warrant issued in Khon Kaen on April 18th.

She admitted to opening bank accounts and getting ATM cards for the gang that was operating out of Malaysia and swindling Thai women.

Police are now trying to arrest her husband who Thai Rath named only as "Simon".

Serious brain drain going on in Nigeria....

The police "are now trying" to arrest "simon".  Does that mean they don't know how to already ? thought they would have had a lot of practice. Or is it bad reporting and they really are trying to find him ? or perhaps the Thai police, having world wide jurisdiction in their own imagination, are planning on a few days out to Nigeria, perhaps also to attend The International Conference on Public Scamming .

I'm surprised they still even give out visas to Nigerians.
