Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but I will be applying for a 60 day SETV in a month, and on the form they have a space for occupation/employer. I am in the process of leaving my job and will be doing some travelling in between jobs. My current job (the one I'm leaving) is perfectly okay with me putting them down, but I don't want to lie, nor do I want to put nothing there so as to raise red flags on the application form and be denied the visa.

I guess my question is, is having a present employer crucial to being granted 60 Day SETV? Is leaving it blank fine, or should I just put down my (soon to be ex) employer and stop thinking about it.

I've always put a generic term in any box for "occupation". Chef, mechanic, engineer or something similar, be reasonably truthful of course.

Kind of. It wouldn’t look good if you put unemployed, but I’ve never heard of a SETV being denied based on occupation or lack of.

Stop thinking about it and put your current occupation. They will not check.

Same here.... To the London Embassy, for the last 5 years

Under "Profession" I put "Retired"

Under "Employer / Institution" I put "None"
