Ive lost my passport

Featured Replies

I need some urgent advice please. Im a uk national and i have lost my passport. I have cancelled it and have applied for a new one. My question is i am due a visa run soon (im on a multi entry visa) what happens if I do not receive my new passport in time?

After your permit to stay ends you will be on an overstay. There is nothing you can do without a passport.

When does your does your permit to stay end?

It normally takes about 2 weeks on average to get new UK passport.

You apply for the passport at VFS in the Trendy building not the embassy.

Have you done a police report for your lost passport?

Have you sent an email yet requesting an appointment. You tell them what days your want it for.

If you had a multiple entry visa, it's gone also.

When you go to Trendy make sure have a certified English translation of the Police Report. Can get this done for a fee at the lower floors. After applying at trendy for my new passport I telephoned the UK Passport Office ( I believe it was in Liverpool) they were very helpful. After I explained the urgency I received my new passport within one week of my visit to Trendy.

In my case I had the 1 year so called retirement visa , so once I had the new passport and the letter from Trendy I needed to go to the Thai Immigration to get the visa stamps, re-entry stamp etc  placed in the new passport.

I know the U.S. requires a written official Thai Police report.   Your reply to UbonJoe did not specifically say you have that piece of paper from the Thai Police.  Thus this post.
