So it sems a receipt for the TM30 may be asked for when applying for a one year visa extension based on retirement. This will be at Chaengwattana in Bangkok. But how can we obtain a receipt?

Most reports (for DIV 1/CW) since ~ 3 April seem to indicate that, failing having a valid, current TM-30 file on your record matching your TM-7 address, the extension process is halted, then you are directed to Counter B where you queue to sort out the TM-30 issue, this may take a few hours and you may be required to pay a fine of 800 baht.

Do you know if you have been reported via a TM-30? Possibly by a wife, landlord, designee, or self.

A receipt may not exist, unless a paper TM-30 was utilized, the bottommost portion of which is the receipt. If you were reported via the online "Hotelier" system, a receipt will not exist. Rather some sort of screenshot capturing your submittal may be a substitute. My guess is that if your record shows the TM-box ticked, then you wouldn't be asked for a receipt, or have to attend Counter B.

You may need supporting documentation (ta bien baan/blue book, Thai owners ID, lease, etc.)  to self file a TM-30.

A working list:

-the blue book (signed by the thai)
-the thai i/d of the person in the blue book (signed by the thai)
-the data page of your passport
-the thai visa in your passport (if you have one)
-your most recent entry stamp
-your extension (if you have one)
-the TM.6 departure card
-your lease
