With more than 7.8 million Tweets globally, the #BattleOfWinterfell episode of Game of Thrones is officially the most Tweeted about episode of TV of all time. What comes in second? This season’s premiere episode on April 14th, with over 5 million Tweets. In 2019 alone, there have been more than 52 MILLION Tweets about the show.

Following the latest epic episode, there are new Game of Thrones emojis on Twitter.
  • Arya's emoji is now updated to include her weapon. Use #Arya #AryaStark or #TheNorthRemembers to unveil her emoji.
  • And for a brand new emoji, Tweet with #NotToday or #TheLongNight to unveil the Weirwood Tree emoji. This was trending globally on Twitter earlier today.

Pity that tweets don't make it great then. After all the hype, I was disappointed. The battle against Ramsay to take Winterfell was a better battle and they didn't waste 2 episodes building up to it.

As for the battle, seen it all before in other films. They have to do better in the 3 episodes left if they want to go out on a high.

Apparently the director went out for a Big Mac and told everyone to get on with it.

Well, I was hyped at first. But I love the Starks. They are the savior of the universe. Especially, Tony Stark. ????

Just seen episode 4. Last 15 minutes started to get interesting, and next week should be back to normal GOT with backstabbing and death.

Took them 5 episodes to finally come up with GOT as we know and love it. Way better battle scene than the battle for Winterfell.

Only question I have is how did any Dothraki survive the army of the dead to be in this episode?

I hope the last episode doesn't revert to the talk talk of the first 2 episodes.

I'm making a wild guess to say that Danaerys dies and Jon becomes King.

Already leaked on Reddit.

Night King comes back to life, Daenerys and Snow get cooked by the ghost dragon, Cersei beats the dwarf to death and everyone else begs for mercy.

Has to be the worst ever final series, bar none.

They made us wait THAT long for THAT rubbish, Bah humbug.

I was pleased with the wrap-up, definitely didn't see the surprise coming.

Loved Sam Tarly's suggestion, and the response.

What surprise was that?

Given her descent into full blown Targaryen madness it was pretty obvious she was for the chop, and Jon was the only one able to get close enough to do it.

Lots of things that I hated about the ending. Would have been brilliant to see Arya sticking Cersei with the pointy end, and watching Tyrion sleeping for a seemingly endless time was just a waste of time that could have been used for better things.

They made the battle with the dead too long, and the events of the last 2 episodes too short. Could have made a far better season with twice as many episodes. It's not like they couldn't afford it.

I think season 8 will be taught in writing school as an example of how to take a series beloved of millions and stuff it up, completely.
