Extend S.E. Non-O

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm sure this question has been asked, but I couldn't find it.

Stupid me, I have waited until the day my visa expires to take care of it. I was going to go to Myanmar for 30 days exemption, but the vans were full at 03.45 this morning when I got to the agent.

I have a single entry Non-O (guardian for children) visa. I have already extended it (90 + 60 days). Can I go to Chaeng Wattana and ask for extension and be denied to get 14 days 'extension' ? This will give me time to get out and get a new visa and not have an overstay at the border.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Your request for an extension will be denied, and you will be given seven days to leave the country. I believe if you do this Tuesday (assuming CW is closed tomorrow, Monday) you will not be fined.

Thanks a lot BritTim.

Never good to have a stamp like that in your passport. Can't you make your own way to the boarder?

I'd make the effort to get to the border today.

One more suggestion, fly to Kuala Lumpur, a return flight with airasia today for $100

Why?

Many people get the 7 days for a denied extension and have had no problem with having it.
