TM6 visa number

Featured Replies

I'm going back to he UK for a holiday after 6 years in Thailand, on the TM6 it asks for the "visa" number, can someone clarify if its the original visa number issued in London? I don't see a meaningful number on my extension.

You put your re-entry permit number in the space for a visa number.

Thanks Joe, that make sense.

Also keep in mind, when you pass through passport control thailand just check io stamp to check if until date matches your reentry until date. Rare mistakes occur.

Might be a good idea to do what I do upon my return to BKK from foreign parts and write the words RE-ENTRY PERMIT after the number - so as hopefully to direct the immigration officer towards a re-entry permit rather than a a non-existent or long-expired visa!

Yes, can also fold open the passport at the relevant page when handing it to them, and perhaps even mention "Have re-entry permit" or "Non O/A" etc when handing over the passport.

Also wise as mentioned above to check the dates stamped are correct.

This raises a question - I just got a small error on my new Non O/A last week and didn't notice it until I got home (arrival date is correct but permission to stay is two days short of 365 days). Given I'll be leaving and re-entering Thailand at least twice before then, I'm guessing this is something I can just ignore? Although I know the stamp could be corrected at CW, it will be superseded on my next entry in a few months and I don't wish to make an unnecessary trip there.
