Applying for a Non-Immigrant Visa “O-A” (Long Stay) what is a an income certificate ?

Featured Replies

Hi All.

could some one please explain when applying for a Non-Immigrant Type O- A (Long Stay) 1 Year per entries/Multiple entries/ 1 year validity

At the Thai Embassy in London what the income certificate (Highlighted below) is referring to

Bank statement or evidence of adequate finance for the past 3 months showing a deposit of the amount equal to and not less than 800,000 Baht (approximately £20,000.00) or an income certificate for the past 6 months with monthly income of not less than 65,000 Baht (approximately £1,625.00), or a deposit account plus a monthly income totaling not less than 800,000 Baht. in the case of submitting a bank statement, a letter of guarantee from the bank (an original copy) is required.

TB

It could be proof of a pension or a bank statement showing the 65k baht going into a bank account.

Not sure about the Pension, as it says (see below Thai Embassy description of visa types) the "O" mentions Retirement with a state pension but the "O - A" does not, but i am hoping some one being single has recently applied for one (Non O-A at the Thai embassy in London) that is, and can explain exactly what is meant by Income certificate.

"O"

To visit Thai spouse, children, parents, voluntary job, retirement (with State Pension)

"O-A"

For applicants aged 50 and over who wish to stay in Thailand for an extended period without the intention of working.

For the non-o visa that is a requirement to get one.

You can be on a pension of some kind and use that income for a OA visa.

Yes i agree a pension could be used, as could an income from investments dividend payments and so forth.

What i am trying to find out is what is a income certificate, it would be helpful if the "word such as" followed with a couple of examples were added then it would give one a better idear of what was actually required then one could proceed from there.
