Where to buy good bread in Kalasin?

Featured Replies

I buy food at BigC and Makro. Before BigC had more to choose from but now only white wheat bread. (And a lot of sweet bread) I usually go there before noon, maybe they have more in the afternoon? I like darker and more compact bread and not with a  lot of sugar. Makro is not any better. Is there any other place (bakery) thet has more to choose from?

I agree that those breads are...not so good :). I'm not from Kalasin, nor have I been there, but do you have a Tops Market there? They usually have pretty decent bread in stock.

If not, have you considered ordering online and have it delivered to you? There are online stores that deliver all over Thailand. I have an online store for my bakery and we make a dark rye bread. But to be honest I would use that as last option as the shipping costs can drive the price high unless you buy a larger quantity.

Hopefully there is a good bakery in Kalasin. Good luck ????

I'd say the nearest good bread is in Cambodia, the French taught them to bake it, along with the Lao's and Vietnam, unfortunately Thailand had no teachers!

I forgot the road name.

Say you driving towards city from big C

Take the left at that bog beauty shop.

Drive down that road 300 metres.

On right will be a big 711

Park there.

Over road you just drove down look over rd from 711. Breadshop there.

Bread is ok but nothing like that Laos bread.

Better start making your own - no so difficult if you get organised and build your own mudbrick oven - plenty of charcoal about
