Train Tour Through India's Buddhist Temples and Landmarks

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if this is the right sub-forum, but I'm sure the mods will move it elsewhere if appropriate.

About a year ago I remember seeing an advertisement in a Thai publication for a train tour through some of India's famous Buddhist temples and landmarks.  Does anyone have a link to a Thai travel agency/tour company (with Thai speaking guides) which specializes in this type of excursion?

I hope I'm explaining this clearly.  If not, let me know and I'll try again.

Thanks in advance.  ????

This is a major Indian company that offers what you are looking for and you can download the brochure in Thai if needed. I have never used any of their tours but have known about them for a while:

IRCTC is Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation a subsidiary of Indian Railways.

Interesting " a train tour through some of India's famous Buddhist temples and landmarks "

For a railway enthusiast it would be quite something to travel through a temple by train. I never realised any temples had been built over railway lines in India. ????
