Sharon Stone, 61, Recreates Iconic Basic Instinct Pose in New Fashion Spread

Sharon Stone’s acting career has spanned three decades, and she’s going back to the role that started it all in a new photoshoot recreating her iconic Basic Instinct pose. 

 

The 61-year-old actress went topless (and pants-less) for a Vogue Portugalspread where she sat on a table with her legs spread open, calling to mind that infamous interrogation scene in the 1992 film.

 

In the accompanying interview with Vogue Portugal, she revealed that she had to brand herself as a sex symbol in order to get work as an actress in Hollywood back when she was starting out.

 

She explained that she “strategically planned” a Playboy photo shoot just as her breakout film Total Recall was released in 1990.

Guess for the same reason many people watched the latest Apollo 11 movie,  just to refresh themselves and check out their memory cells.  Frankly Sharon Stone with legs akimbo is damn site more of a worthwhile look than that movie was in my opinion.

I like the movie and she was very good in her role. And it's time that I see it again. Just hearing a few seconds of the music reminded me about that.

But would I watch the movie with a 61 year old Stone? Absolutely not!

The whole trend in the US right now, is to make fat women appealing. The industry has changed dress sizes, in an attempt to legitimize fat, and huge women. They are attempting to do the same thing with older women. If you watch the average awards show, it is astonishing how large American women are these days. 

 

Sorry. Not buying into it. Some desperados in the US no doubt do, and will. Not this homey.
