FracturedRabbit
Sorry if this has been asked before, but could not find it. I plan to move back to the UK with my Thai wife; we both currently live in Thailand. No problem with fulfilling all the conditions, but the visa application does clearly state that it is for my wife joining me in the UK; and the plan is that we leave here together; initially staying with a relative in the UK until we find a place of our own. Is this an issue, can I just provide the relative's address as my own without having to be personally residing in the the UK at the time? Thanks for any guidance. Pilotman
As I understand it, it depends on where you are registered as being normally resident and have a home to which you are now locating. My friend recently re located with his Chinese wife from Hong Kong to the UK after being normally resident in HK. Her application was submitted to the Embassy in HK , but he had already established himself in UK accommodation before hand so as to show residency. Hope this helps. theoldgit
No you're fine, she will be joining you when you both travel back, either seperately or together. Many UK expats return with their wives/partners in tow.
