Please can anyone explain the difference between signing up for this 15 Baht per month system and

the free sms alerts via the Debit Card ?

The "free" SMS Remittance Alert gives you info on "incoming international transfers" like when sending money to your Bangkok Bank account, a govt pension payment from the home country, etc. It tells you who the funds came from, amount of funds rec'd, exchange rate used, receiving fee, and date/time of posting to your acocunt
