ROBERT Pattinson is in talks to play Batman in Matt Reeves' upcoming superhero movie.

The 33-year-old actor is said to be the frontrunner for the role in forthcoming film The Batman, but he has not yet closed a deal, according to Variety.

Pre-production on the Warner Bros and DC Comics collaboration is expected to kick off this summer ahead of a June 25 2021 release.

Insiders also told the publication the start date could be either late 2019 or early 2020.

I don't see it.  A lot of people didn't like him, but to me Ben brought the right amount of charisma to Batman.

The movie was so bad, no actor could have rescued it. All these current comic book films suck, but that one was the suckiest of all.

Do they set out to find the worst writers they can?

Pattinson is type cast as a touchy feely vampire- very bad choice, but perhaps all the suitable actors wouldn't touch it.
