May 26, 20197 yr Hi. Got kid with thai. We not married. So i get non O multi entry from Penang. Getting 90 days enteies then extend for 60. To get 12 months extension I was told marry or get parental rights through court. Now I went visa agents and they says I dont need any of that and they can extend it for 12m. Even farang staffer said there he is in my shoes and got 12m so do his friends. They even called immigration and asked on front of me and they said can do. 25k is the cost. So what kind of deal is this? Under the table? Or agents can do more? Im on last extension its soon up. Just want to see if anyone came across this kind of thing. Thanks Wysłane z mojego SM-G975F przy użyciu Tapatalka
May 26, 20197 yr 25k! Shouldn't be any more than extension based on marriage, 1900 baht (still?), when doing it yourself at immigration.

Agents get things done you can not get done otherwise from immigration without financials, landlord-documents, etc. That's why it's 23K baht more then the "retail price" - fee varying by immigration-office and agent.
May 27, 20197 yr For 24k baht you could pay a good lawyer to have your parenthood legitimized at a family court so that you could apply for a one year extension of stay based upon being the parent of a Thai if you can meet the financial requirements.

May 27, 20197 yr I have a Multi Entry O Non Immigrant Visa based on me being in receipt of my UK Pension from the London Embassy. Number 1 question, can I extend it in Thailand ? Number 2 question, I have a Thai son, could I extend it because of him ?

You can extend any of the 90 day entries from it for one year at immigration. Or 60 days ot visit your child. 2. Yes you can if you your are the legal father of your child from marriage or legitimization of you parenthood.

So if I let it run to near the expiry date I could extend it for a another year at Jomtien, would I have too show money in the bank etc same as an Extension ? Or 60 days too visit my son, so after one of my 90 trips is expiring I could extend it for another 60 days, again any proof of funds required and obviously proof it is my son would required ? 2. I am not married but my name is on his Birth Certificate, he has a Thai and a UK Passport, is that classed as legitimisation of parenthood

For the one year extension you need 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only or proof of 40k baht income. For the 60 day extension you would not need financial proof or be the legal father of your child. 2. You name no the birth certificate does not make you the legal father. If they are under 7 years old it has to be done via a family court or at a Amphoe if 7 or over. See this topic on the family and children forum. How To Gain Parental Rights As A Father
