PR - Changed company in middle of 3 years before application

Featured Replies

Hi

I am hoping to apply for PR next year based on Thai child, by that time I will have worked for my current company for 2 years, I worked for my previous company for 4 years.

I changed work permits during this time but have had unbroken non-o extensions and all tax is in order. (I have all copies of old work permit to prove this)

Can someone confirm if changing companies durning the 3 years is going to be an issue or if it's fine? From what I've read it shouldnt be an issue - hoping....

Thanks

Unless is there is a long period of time between the 2 work permits there should not be a problem with doing the application.

Thanks ubon joe, there are 11 days between the permits? Cancelled one and waited for the other. Would this be ok.

Also, I've read numerous posts detailing contributions to charity, is this actually required?

You should be OK with 11 days. It is not like you stopped working and had to go out looking for a new job.

Contributions are not needed for PR. Those are needed for citizenship applications.

Thanks very much

Must you really speak Thai at conversational level? Stedfast requirement, no possibility of 'compensation'? My Thai has dwindled to nothing.
