Hello, everybody, I am an United States citizen and currently have a 6 month tourist visa. Webster University Thailand accepted my application today and the university will send me the visa letter shortly. Is it possible to switch the tourist visa  to Ed visa in Thailand?so I don’t need to fly out. Thank you all.

Yes you can since you are attending a university.

You would apply for a change of visa status to get a 90 day non immigrant visa (category ED) entry at immigration.
