i have read many topics here but i am so confused now

about the 400k bank account and 40 k income (mariage visa)

i called the thai embassy in france (yes i am french nobody is perfect 5555)

they told me i dont need 40 k income to get a visa only the 400k

and i must show this for every year.

If they are happy to give you the visa based on 400k then take it but I think you will find that when you arrive in Thailand that it's actually 40k for those not grand fathered in.

There is a non-immigrant visa granted based on marriage to a Thai National, no need to show income for this when applied for in your home country, I believe. You can get a single entry which gives 3 months and then apply for an extension while in Thailand, or get a multi-entry non-immigrant which requires you to leave Thailand every 90 days.

However, if you want to get a one year extension of that visa while living in Thailand, income of 40,000 a month must be shown to obtain the extension. This is not the same thing as a visa.
