Hello, and thanks in advance for any advice and help here guys, much appreciated.

I have an appointment to replace a lost passport at 7:30am at the USA embassy office. I should be out around 8am with an emergency passport as my 2nd consecutive visa exemption stamp+extension expired on June 2 but was unable to travel due to lost passport/medical emergency (have documentation) last week. I entered via Don Mueang on April 4th after a problem at Poi Pet with no exit flight and a denial of entry. Now I have everything together and ready to go ASAP to ensure an easy return, but I worried about going to Chaeng Wattana to transfer stamps as I am currently in an overstay of 3 days.

To sum up my questions and concerns:

1. What is the easiest way to transfer entry and extension stamps, and do I risk arrest?

2. What is the easiest/safest border bounce to do without having a Myanmar/Laos visa? Fly or bus? Without breaking the bank, please!

3. Will I have any problems to return? What should I be prepared for? Should I attempt to get SETV or ED visa before? I had already considered these as the best ways to make a longer term stay in Thailand viable.

i had planned to go directly to CW for stamps and then Mo Chit to catch the next bus to Cambodia, maybe Osmach or Pailin and attempt a next day land entry as I stil have one remaining land crossing this year (2 attempts - 1 Aran denial).

Since you lost your passport Chaeng Wattana would let you pay the overstay and apply for a extension, pay 1900 baht and get 7 days to leave the country after it is denied.

Take the police report for your lost/stolen passport with you.

Some border crossing will not let you leave with a overstay.

Thanks Joe, I am already at the end of a 30 day extension, so I would go and apply for one more extension, pay 1900+overstay and get denied, but get 7 days to plan an exit? Thanks for your help!

Your next step (assuming you do not already have two visa exempt entries by land in 2019) might be to do a border bounce at Ban Phu Nam Ron (to Myanmar). No visa is needed. You are given a temporary border pass for Myanmar.

you pay $10 or 500 baht, I am told to enter Burma, same as heading to Kwathoung or across at Mae sot.

Thanks for the the advice guys, one concern: After the dumpster diving experience of Aran/Poipet border I am not excited to navigate any land borders for my 2nd visa exempt stamp land entry alone. But I was also considering a same day flight or bus out and back the next day alone, to save the 2000 baht/7 day extension. Can I fly out of DMK without visiting CW if I arrived there and got an extension later at CW? Will I have any difficulty to return after a short overstay and 2 previous entries with visa exemption? Thanks guys.
