Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo admits the show was "toxic" behind the scenes for years

Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo has said the show was "toxic" behind the scenes for 10 years.

 

Speaking as part of Variety’s Actors on Actors series, Pompeo described how she and creator Shonda Rhimes "decided to rewrite the ending of this story", following the departure of male lead Patrick Dempsey.

 

“After Season 10, we had some big shifts in front of the camera, behind the camera,” Pompeo said.

 

“It became my goal to have an experience there that I could be happy and proud about, because we had so much turmoil for 10 years. My mission became, this can’t be fantastic to the public and a disaster behind the scenes.

Many years ago I used to watch the series on tv in Thailand ( English language ) and liked it a lot. However, since I don't get to see it anymore, don't miss it at all, and wouldn't buy the box set either. It's just bubble gum for the mind tv.
