Acting Thai immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang announced the arrest of two migrants who were transiting through Suvarnabhumi airport on their way to Canada.

Immigration were alerted by airline staff after they were found to have fake Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) stamps in their passports for Canada.

They were Anwar Hussain from India, aged 40 and Lounceny Kaba, 21, from Guinea.

They are now in custody as police expand the inquiry to ascertain where the stamps came from.
