Non-printed visa OK?

Featured Replies

The non-imm O visa that I received from a Thai consulate-general in the US was completely filled in by the official by hand. I've only had typed/printed visas before. Has anyone seen a handwritten visa? Will there be a problem at passport control at Swampy?

I assume it was done by one of the honorary consulates. I don't think I have ever seen a copy of one from one that was printed.

I have also seen handwritten ones from embassies and official consulates due to them having problems with printing them.

Had one like that once myself...a but disconcerting for sure...went through Thai immigration when I arrived in Thailand with no problems...

Relax...enjoy your trip...

If it is visa sticker or stamp that has been hand-written it is no problem whatsoever.

For 15 years, I Have been getting Thai visas from Chicago consulates. Long time ago, I remember they were hand written but in my current passport (issued 2013), none was hand written.

Fast lane at Swampy, woman IO stamps me in w/o saying one word, what more asking me questions. Did have to give them my 10 fingerprints, which I don't recall doing before.
