90 day reports at borders rather than IO if you change from retirement to marriage visa??

Recommended Posts

A poster on Pattaya Addicts is saying that changing from Retirement to Marriage visa will mean doing your 90 day reports at the borders, rather than Immigration. Is this correct or more poppycock???

It sounds like confusion between having a multiple entry non-o visa based upon that requires leaving the country every 90 days and a one year extension of stay based upon marriage that requires 90 day reporting at immigration.

“poppycock”.

You can’t do a 90 day report at the border.

If you change — from a 1 year extension of stay, or a non-immigrant ‘O-A’ visa, based on retirement — to a non-immigrant ‘O’ visa as the spouse of a Thai. you can only stay 90 days after which you need to extend your stay or do a border run.

That would be poppycock.

Ignorant people just want to coerce you into doing what they do because they think they know it all and are better informed than everyone else.
