Changing from non-o extension to non-b extension (BOI) within Thailand?

Featured Replies

Issues extending non-o based on child.

Have BOI WP and eligible for BOI visa extension, question is - can I just extend my current non-o with a non-b BOI extension without leaving the country?

Or can I change in country to non-b before extending?

Does changing visa in country to non-b affect 3 years unbroken extensions for residence permit?

Thanks

You could apply for an extension based upon working with your current extension.

But if doing the application at the one stop center for BOI companies it may not be allowed.

Non immigrant visa categories cannot be changed by immigration. You have leave the country to get a new visa to do it.

Going out for a new visa would end the 3 years on extensions of stay for a PR application.

Thanks, when you say it may not be allowed - what are the chances?

Can I extend at Cheang Wattana instead of one stop service using BOI paperwork and get the same 2 years?

If your employer pushes them to do it using your current extension the will likely do it.

You can't do it at Chaeng Wattana.
