How many accommodation days booked satisfy immigration?

Featured Replies

American man with Cambodian girlfriend entering Thailand via air on 2 tourist visas. How many days motel booked with copies of motel reservations is enough to satisfy pickiest official at airport when showing 2 tourist visas ? 3 days reservation OK? Plan on looking around for longer term lodging  booking in person... Through tickets and 20000 baht each in hand

Normally immigration does not ask for proof of accommodations when entering the country. But if they did 3 days would be enough.

OK thanks!

They aren’t going to ask for proof of hotel bookings unless they believe you’re not ‘genuine tourists’ and are considering denying entry.

As long as you don’t have a recent history of staying months/years as a ‘tourist’ you should sail through immigration.
