Visa run Ranong - Myanmar

Featured Replies

FYI, 20/06/2019.

I just did an exit to Myanmar for a 30 day entry -

Caught a night bus from Prachuap Khirikan (11.p.m.), but the bus probably started from BKK? Slept most of the way - about 5 hours.

40 baht songthaew to the pier, behind the gas station/ 7-11. longboats everywhere - 100 baht each way to an Island? in Myanmar.

Stamp in out of Myanmar (you need a US 10 dollar note for Immi' at Myanmar), but I didn't have one so I bargained on the island for 400 baht. Easy for me.

Caught a long boat back, at the bus station a variety of options - I took a minivan back for around 250 baht to Prachuap.

I've done over a dozen visa runs before and they were always a pain. This trip however, was a lot of fun - great views, very friendly people, and great shopping and fun in Myanmar... BEST of all beer Chang can at their convenience store 20 baht. I had to have more than a few!

P.S. Might go back next time for a 1 week holiday.

Cheers.

Kanchanaburi would be closer if you live in Prachuap Khirikan

I have done Ranong a few times from Hua Hin - always found it a bit of a pain
