Charter court accepts media share cases of 32 pro-government MPs

 

 

The Constitutional Court today (Wednesday) agreed to accept for consideration the cases of 32 pro-government MPs accused by the opposition Future Forward party of owning or holding shares in media companies in violation of the election law.

 

At the same time, the court decided to drop the cases of nine other pro-government MPs facing similar allegations on the grounds that the evidence, presented by the Future Forward party in the form of memoranda of association of companies registered at the Business Development Department, did not clearly indicate the firms intended to engage in the media business.

 

The nine MPs who were let off the hook were Mr. Sastra Sriparn, Mr. Surasak Chingnawan, Ms. Parim Pooncharoen, Ms. Pareena Kraikupt, Mr. Chaivuth Thanakamansorn, Mr. Chakkrabhand Pornnimit, Mr. Korn Chatikavanich, Mr. Pramual Pongwarade and Mr. Akkaradet Wongpitakrote.

 

Since these cases were dropped, the court did not consider the Future Forward party’s demand that they should be suspended from performing their duty as MPs.

A rule for them and an adjusted rule for us,

that's fair ????

And now we are all just waiting for that laughable reason why its not the same. From the watch collection, the PPRP fund raising dinner to the reason why Prayuth is not a state official, we are being treated to the stupid and the insane and being told to get used to it. 

Al I can say with my coffee is: hahahahahahahahahaha, I hope it feels good ole fat head, toad boy and the P council.

The court 'will consider' these case. Of course. Such types 'considered' them several years ago and already decided then in principle that no junta-supporting persons or parties can ever do any wrong. Case closed.

Note that nine of the criticised persons have immediately been found spotless and pure, and that none of the remaining 'to-be-considered' persons has been instantly suspended - as was Thanathorn.

 

Great to live in a land of impartial, sagely law and order!

Looks like quite the opposite to me. 9 off the hook 32 to go. Do you think the result will be different. Consitutionl Court. Hfff! Just another arm of the junta. And yes, I still call them the junta as they were not democratically elected.

Time can be so useful at times. I believe it took nearly 400 days before the verdict on ownership of media shares  by the wife of Foreign Minister Mr Don was reached.

Well,  I got that wrong. Thought they would find some pathetic excuse to not accept these cases.

Guess the media frenzy got to them.

 

Still, when it all shakes out it won't come to anything. This will drag on and fizzle out.

Lets see if 9 is a significant number my guess it will be????

A fine example of double standards. No suspension for Phalang Pracharat MPs, while FFP candidate Phubet Henlod was disqualified for the very same accusations. And Thanathorn is suspended for nearly identical accusations.

 

I wonder what the differences are? Oh.. "khon dee" vs "evil closet  commies" who battle pizza laws. I see.

Such a quick decision, considering most cases before the courts are usually much longer, that's if they even proceed - unless of course you're a troglodyte then decisions are made before it even starts. 

So is the court just taking these cases to look legitimate and will eventually find no violations or are they really going to dig into the claims of violations? A lot of factors can impact the dynamics of how the court performs.

Seriously ? even considering there is evidence he actually sold the shares before the deadline to do so ? Yet now all of a sudden 32 others are not suspended because they probably still own the shares 

 

Unbelieveable.
