I have normally always done the renewal application 1 week before expiration. What is the real time you can go prior as I have some trips to plan.

-Can you go 3 weeks or 4 weeks before?

-And then if you can, what would the come back date yo see about visa renewal be on your passport? One month after the exp date?

You can apply for an extension of stay (it is not a viisa) up to 30 days or 45 days at some offices before your permit to stay ends.

I assume you mean the report back date shown on a under consideration stamp done after your application is accepted. The 30 days starts from the date you apply or from the end of your current permit to stay dependent upon the office where you apply for the extension.
