Change of Address - new condo in same building

Featured Replies

Soon Hubby and I will move to a "new condo" in the same building where we've lived for many years in Chiang Mai.  The condo office takes care of filing TM30s online.  How should we handle reporting the change in room number?  Ask the condo office to input a new TM30 for us?  Go out to CM Immigration and file a TM28?

We have copies of the appropriate documents from the owner of our "new condo", but she works out-of-province and it would be an inconvenience for her to go to CM Immigration with us.

Both TM.30 and TM.28 should be filed; but as usual it comes down to what CM want. I would ask the condo to submit a TM.30 at the very least.

For TM30 purposes, I don't think the owner would need to go with you to Immigration, as long as you have the appropriate photocopy documents from the building owner and the unit owner, including a photocopy of her Thai ID and a photocopy of your lease/rental agreement.

I asked CM Immigration information desk about this 2 months ago and they told me to update TM30. No mention of TM28.

Yes I recently did this at CW, Bangkok.

They only wanted TM30.

Just ask them what they want ?

Same. They even refuse to take Tm28s it seems.
