B52 bomber found on the moon

World War II bomber found on moon
Back on April 24th 1988 a tabloid newspaper reported that a Lancaster
Bomber has been found on the moon.

hardly an example of bad journalism of the quality "news"papers "Sunday Sport" and "Express" that were enhancing the story by confirming each other.
21 years on, people still quote this titbit of a so previous century joke.

personally, would rather investigate the more credible lower right headline ????

Im not giving up on the old guy just yet. Why its interesting is people dont thing too much about mechanical force. Multiple gears spinning a final gear/shaft at extreme high rpm is still intriguing to me. Ultra lightweight materials? Smaller? Better lubricants, I dunno still interesting, if not by this old guy then by someone else. But...I'm no engineer.....thank God for that you all say!

He is trying to re-invent the wheel. However, if he can improve what's already available in terms of manufacture, price reduction, efficiency etc., great - but he can't defeat the laws of physics - power output = power input less the inefficiencies producing the output.

Actually it was last year.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perpetual_motion

Perpetual motion is motion of bodies that continues indefinitely. A perpetual motion machine is a hypothetical machine that can do work indefinitely without an energy source. This kind of machine is impossible, as it would violate the first or second law of thermodynamics.[2][3][4][5]

These laws of thermodynamics apply regardless of the size of the system. For example, the motions and rotations of celestial bodies such as planets may appear perpetual, but are actually subject to many processes that slowly dissipate their kinetic energy, such as solar wind, interstellar medium resistance, gravitational radiation and thermal radiation, so they will not keep moving forever.[6][7]

Thus, machines that extract energy from finite sources will not operate indefinitely, because they are driven by the energy stored in the source, which will eventually be exhausted. A common example is devices powered by ocean currents, whose energy is ultimately derived from the Sun, which itself will eventually burn out. Machines powered by more obscure sources have been proposed, but are subject to the same inescapable laws, and will eventually wind down.

Do the laws of article 44 override the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics, if not why not - we can't have any law operating outside of our control.

I have an idea, the laptop without battery which is powered by the up-down movement of the owner's hand while watching porn. Where is the patent office please?

I think you are too late for that it already has a scientific name, “ Taking the matter in hand”

no surprise really, was skeptical when I read the original article last week, they really need to get experts in the field to check out these so called inventions before making their BS claims, how many times in the past have we seen these fanciful claims without any back ground checks. The reporters really need to get a hold of themselves

The reporters really need to get a hold of themselves

Thats probably whats wrong?????

You're not the only pedant. I'm often accused of it, but not so much on TV.

Pedants of the world unite!

I did try to google the collective noun, but could only find 'a piddle of pedants', which was the result of a competition to suggest one.

Yes, because the magnets effect have been nullified by global warming.

And if you install the magnets with the wrong polarity, you can increase  the apparent usage..

The closest we could get to a perpetual motion machine is if we could convert political speeches into energy.

Some senior people - let's name names. It was our beloved PM Prayut when he was in charge of the army. His attempt at face-saving was to say that as long as it made the soldiers feel better, it was worthwhile.

Feeling better while being blown to pieces, now that would be a good feeling.

Even Thailand's own Napoleon couldn't be that stupid, could he?

I have invented diet water. Normal water contain a lot of calories, my water has no calories. If you drink my water only you will loose weight. I also invented a DVD re-winder that will re-wind DVDs. After you watch a DVD it has to be re-winded. with my invention, just take out the DVD from the player, put it in the re-winder at it will be good to play instantly.

Love the DVD rewinder, does it work on CD's as well?

A pedagogy of pedants?

Certainly not a paucity of pedants.

His crank handle and the gearing are in place of an engine so it's not a invention , cars and bikes and windmills have been using this system since day Dot using an Alternator/ Generator and a Battery for storing the Power and a power inverter for whatever Voltage u want to run an appliance on.  ????

If converting meaningful speeches, you wouldn't have the energy to run a 1 watt LED.

The Classic laws of physics as laid down by Isaac Newton have never applied here in LOS.

Of course not, the laws of Thai physics are different.

I'm still waiting the release of the dengue vaccine they claimed to have perfected years ago. People are dying!

And AIDS. Chulalongkorn University, I think it was, claimed they had invented a cure a few years back but somehow such an historical event failed to make the news outside of Thailand, or reach the medical profession. Maybe the other countries around the world were jealous of the brilliant Thais and so pretend it doesn't exist.

Unfortunately journalists here are not prepared to query what they are told, accepting it as 'news'.

When others - usually ferangs - who will query what has been reported (even to pointing out some inventions seem to ignore the laws of physics), they are often condemned as Thai-bashers.

The reality is that a lot of Thais don't seem to use critical thinking to evaluate these reports.

Or am I now also a Thai-basher?

B.S. journalism does not only belong to Thailand. Look at all the rubbish magazines,eg. in Australia every week there is a freshly published "New Idea" (nic named "No Idea") full of made up stories attributed to "a source". For some reason every doctor's surgery and women's hairdresser keep these mags for their clients to read. Britain also has more than its fair share of bs newspapers. We spend more time focusing on bs than what is real.

And then we get the constant bs propaganda from politicians which people seem to love to occupy the vacant space in their dull brains....and it doesn't stop there. How about television, movies, etc, etc.

We seem to thrive on fantasy!

Its all simple really The quantized emission spectra indicated to Bohr that perhaps electrons could only exist within the atom at certain atomic radii and energies.you may   Recall that quantized refers to the fact that energy can only be absorbed and emitted in a range of allowable values rather than with any possible value. The following diagram of the Thai model shows the electron existing in a finite number of allowed orbits or shells around the Nodi nucleus., but discount the other nodis

Once you see this in the right format the mans a genius
