Do i need to booking thai consulate for tourist visa in vietnam? i need to book thai consulate in Laos before. Many thank for all comments! kob khun krab!

No appointments are required in Hanoi and HCMC at this time.

For what its worth Saigon is very chill place. You could easy spend bit of time there if not in a rush. 

The office at Thai consulate is quite small but often not that many people there. Nothing like Laos. Same drill drop off docs am and pick up pm next day. If you need visa for Vietnam you can obtain letter of approval online then visa on arrival. 

They do go by the book and depending on the visa you are looking for require what they say on their website.

O visa, letter from your wife, hand written and signed by her. Usual copies of ID , hers, both sides etc. Married cert etc.

Proof of some sort of finances, no figure quoted but cash in hand no good.

Tourist visa, proof of onward travel from Thailand. Not sure if they want proof of finances for that.

OP is obtaining tourist visa.

Dear Sir,

 

We do not issue retirement visa in Vietnam. The maximum validity of a tourist visa is 3 months only and it can be extended. Business visa has a validity of one year and can be extended; investment visa has a validity of 5 years at most.

For all kinds of visas except tourist visa, you need to submit an approval letter from the Immigration Department of Vietnam (you can get it with the help of a travel agency of Vietnam), together with passport, one photo, visa application form and visa fee. It takes 4 working days to process the visa.

As far as I am aware according to those who have applied for Non-O visa (based on Marriage) and reported on TV there doesn't appear to be any financial requirement to obtain the Non-O in HCMC - its just the same as in Savannakhet.

Just checked on their website, the real one, and they also require a certified copy of wife's house book and ID card.

While they don't actually state anything on finances they do like to see that you do have some cash

( bank book copy ? ).

The letter from your wife must be hand written and signed, not a copy and not typed.

Even for a tourist visa they want to see hotel bookings and proof of onward travel if you're single they want to see 20,000 baht and for family 40,000 baht.
