March 14, 200719 yr THAI to open first in-town checking counter BANGKOK: -- Thai Airways International will open its first in-town checking counter at the MTRT station at Lat Phrao when Don Muang Airport reopens on March 25, its chairman said Wednesday. The airline will spend Bt10 million for the checking counter, Chalit Bhubhasuk added. "It will be a pilot project. The company is looking at additional stations, including an airport rail link when [the rail] is competed in the next few years, in order to give travellers faster service," Chalit said. --TNA 2007-03-14
