My passport expires in May 2020.

I have a Multi Entry Non-O that expires after that.

I'll need at least 6 months remaining to make sure I'm not refused entry when doing my border run, so I'll need to get a new passport after my November border run.

What is the process with regards to immigration and getting my ME Non-O transferred to my new passport?

Do I first get my new passport, then just go to my local immigration office (Chiang Mai) and they simply transfer the Visa and the 90 day Permission to Stay stamp over?

TIA

Visa cannot be transferred at immigration. They only transfer stamps they have done.

You will have to use your old passport to show your multiple entry non-o visa when you enter the country along with your new one to be stamped into the in it.

No need to go to immigration when you get your new passport. You can leave the country and show both passports and they will stamp you out of the country in the new one and do a annotation about the visa and passport you used for entry.
