Using multiple reentry in old passport numerous times before transfer

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I'm currently in the UK and am getting a new passport. Upon returning to Thailand I'm aware that to transfer my non b and reentry permit I need to get a letter from the embassy then take both passports to my immigration office.

I get back a week on Monday, but then I fly to The Philippines for ten days on that Wednesday. I was wondering if I'll be able to use the multiple reentry in my old passport for a second time before getting it transferred? Or would the fact I'll have been stamped in in my new passport change this somehow?

I'd rather wait to do the transfer when I'm back from The Philippines than rush around in the 24 hours I have in Thailand in between.

Thanks in advance for any help.

No problem to use a multiple re-entry permit in your old passport several times after you get a new passport.

Really no different than using a multiple entry visa in the old passport until it expires. That often happens.

That's a relief, thanks for the info guys.

Is this possible both before and after transferring the visa? Could be helpful to save a precious page ????
