Do You Distance Your Parking?

Recommended Posts

Well, I've owned BMW's all my life but when I moved here with my wife she suggested that a Honda would cause me much less stress since my days of high performance driving were over since there is no place to do so. In any event my point is I don't care where I park the Honda or who bumps it, scratches it or sits on it. Just another cultural adjustment I have made. I'm thinking my next vehicle will be a monster truck they look good with dents and mud all over them.

Thats one thing I left behind when I came here my BMW, as you say cultural change now its a 3 litre pick -up. Still gets scratched though because no-one cares I have noticed.

Would be taboo if my Beamer was here and got scratched.

But then how would you get cows rice cement furniture 18 + folks in a Beamer mmmmmmm :o

I had a 65 Ford Falcon (Mad Max Style), big steel bumpers, and i sprayed flat black over tints and rust, and every time when i got a new scratch, i just "cansprayed" over in 5 seconds. Everybody goes away when i came with this car. I'ts was the best car i ever owned in this country. A piece of s...., but technecally i keept everything in good shape. I never care where i parked this car. I feel very sorry that i lost this car true to my ex gf

I know it is hard to find....but, can you find a parking place far from others?

Now thats a car theif's dream!

Id be wanting to park a lot nearer other vehicles, though i guess only a (im going down the old route!) hairdresser might want to steal it! :o

The Oriental Hotel is my favorite place to park our cars. OK, I lived there in a suite for 2 1/2 years, so I get a nice place to park my car...but, you can't beat it ever. OK, now I use the hotel just for lunch and dinner. Really, The Oriental is a super place to valet your best car. Do it!

I used to park my car away from other cars to avoid dings, scratches, etc. and I used to be extremely meticulous with my car and would stress if anything happened. But NOW, I don't worry about it and park wherever I feel. If anything happens to it, it can always be fixed--in the end, its just a car... that said, I park my 911 everywhere and anywhere. not scared of any sois or shopping malls (mbk, emporuim, etc) where parking is tight.

plus if someone hits it, it gives me an excuse to modify my car more... :o

Maybe I'm one of the few people that actually owned BMW's because I enjoyed everything about them (and I didn't have to buy a new car every 5 years because it had a blown engine) it had nothing to do with ego or picking up girls I truly enjoyed "the ultimate driving experience" to spite the fact I drove about 20,000 miles a year. In any event since my last post I was at Car four where I watched an SUV back over a Civic to spite the nice Thai man trying to guide the guy out, he didn't want any help, my wife intervened and got security so the guy wouldn't make off. So, now my wife knows why I don't park inside.
