hello.  I am about  to retire (& have a non-Thai wife and 2 young kids in an international school here) and wonder whether I should get a retirement visa or guardian visa (to stay for a few more years) ?.  thanks

If your children are attending school and are on an extension of stay based upon attending school you can apply for an extension based upon being their father. You will need to show 500k baht in a Thai bank for 30 days and then 90 days after that.

What does your wife stay here on now. She would not be able to get an extension for being your wife tied your extension if you get the above extension.
