TM 7 page 2 "application written by"

Seems kind of strange that there is the line "application written by" on page 2 of tm 7 seeing as the bottom of page one they already have you name, passport number etc.

 

Is this field supposed to be using landlords/wife's name, or the applicant.  The form is reqesting a signature, but since they already have applicant signature on page 1, I'm not sure why the redundancy.

 

Any insights  on this?

The application written by is only needed if somebody completes the application for you due to language problems or the inability to write it.

If you do it yourself you need to write your name again and sign it.

Page 1 requests applicants signature.

Page 2 requests the signature of the person writing the application, which may not necessarily be the applicant.
