Fancy chosing the file photo that he did, when Udon Thani is such a long way from a seaside beach! Half a minute with the Times Atlas and a ruler (both of which used to be always available to subs) would have shown that Udon is as far from the nearest beach (which would be Pattaya) as the northern border of England is from England's south coast. But, what the heck. Newspapers are not about giving their readers accurate impressions these days. They are all about pandering to their readers prejudices (i.e. ingrained pre-judgments).
