15 day visa upon arrival

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a Malta passport and yesterday evening arrived in Bangkok Don Mueng airport and was given a 15 day visa upon arrival.

Obtaining a Thai visa before arrival from the Thai consulate in Malta was not an option since I am at the moment travelling Asia.

How can I obtain another 15 day visa upon arrival? Can I do a land border cross? And which land border checkpoint issue visa upon arrival?

I will be heading to Hua Hin next, is there a land border checkpoint close to Hua Hin that issue visa upon arrival? What is the cost of getting another 15 day visa upon arrival through a land border cross?

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Ubonjoe thank you for your input.

Is there a limit of how many visa on arrival a person gets for each calendar year?

From your experience, can you suggest checkpoints providing the best user experience? Are there any close to Hua Hin?

After Thailand we plan to go to Bali and then return back to Thailand. We have recently read that we can obtain a 60 day tourist visa for Thailand from Denpasar (Bali) Thai Consulate. Would the previous 2 visa on arrival negatively effect the tourist visa we would apply for from Denpasar Thai Consulate?

Thanks

There are none that I would consider close to Hua Hin.

The Mae Sot crossing in Tak to Myanmar would be a good one. After that it would be the Sadao Crossing to Malaysia.

Not sure you would be able to get a tourist visa at the consulate in Bali. The info here on the Jakarta embassy website they go by indicates the answer is no. http://www.thaiembassyjakarta.com/en/consular-services/additional-requirements-for-non-indonesian-applicants/
