availability of minocycline

Where in Bangkok can we buy the antibiotic minocycline?  My wife was told at one pharmacy that a doctor's prescription is required, but as far as I know prescriptions are not necessary for antibiotics in Thailand.  She found it effective in the past for acne.

It does not require a prescription but there is only one brand of it in Thailand and hard to find.

Doxycycline is much more readily available and same class of drug. Can be found in virtually any pharmacy.

She tried doxycycline, but found it not effective and upset her stomach.

 

Do you have any suggestion where to find minocycline in BKK?

The brand name is Minocin. That's all I can tell you. I am not even certain it is still on mrket in Thailand. Maybe try one of the many skin clinics.
