Where in Hatyai is there a SIA money exchange ?...Or one thats presently giving decent exchange rates ?

There is no SIA or Super Rich Money Exchange in Hat Yai. The best exchange I've found is Thairat Exchange on Thanon Phetkasem just south of the Clock Tower. The other option is Kin Exchange on Lamaisongkrew Rd in town. Avoid all the ones around the Lee Garden Plaza area.

Thanks Stocky for that...The one i used to use near the Bangkok Bank is now just a ripoff....
