Hi,

I obtained a 90 day Non-B visa from Thai embassy in US, and entered thailand with it.  permitted til october 2019.

I signed a contract for a job offer that starts when i get my work permit.  don't have WP yet, having issues because my non-b and wp from last job were never officially canceled (but both expired).

I may back-out of the job if issues persist. there is no length of term in the contract or clause about consequences for leaving.

If i back out of the job and leave,  will i have any issues exiting the country?  would i be stopped for any reason (would they see that a workpermit was applied for for me etc..)? I am debating whether I should tell the company first or wait til i leave and then tell them.

If i back out of the job, am i able to stay in Thailand on this non B visa until October without working for the company? is it connected to the company in any way?

any information on this would be much appreciated!

You need to to resolve the problem with your previous extension not being formally canceled. If possible you should contact your previous employer to try and get a termination letter so it can now be formally be canceled.

The 90 day entry from the non-b visa will remain valid until it ends. Nothing would cause it to be canceled.

Ok thank you.

I got the documents from old employer and sent them for cancellation, but now that's not good enough. they need more documents/i have to go to immigration in person.

If that doesn't work, i will probably forget the job, and leave.  I won't run into any issues when exiting, correct?

I didn't have any entering the country.

You need to go to immigration to have your previous extension canceled in your passport.

No problem leaving the country.
