August 7, 20196 yr When we last discussed this topic, I was happy using Runtastic as my tracking application, and transferring data to Strava when I got home at the end of the ride. Runtastic has a good in-ride interface, with kilometre markers to give some indication of scale to estimate distances. Strava seems to have a blank line, so it is hard to know the scale of the map that you are looking at. However, Runtastic has abandoned their web interface, so it is not easy to download data at the end of the ride. anymore. RidewithGPS seems to have the kilometre markers, but as far as I can tell it's at least US$ 50 / year, so quite expensive. What else do people use? My main concerns are: - good in-ride display with scale or kilometre markers to judge distances, for navigation purposes - easy to export data in gpx or tcx format for import to Strava or other apps. What are your recommendations? Thanks! SC
August 8, 20196 yr What about this one Jon; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wahoofitness.fitness&hl=en When I was using cardio and cadence sensor, I used it. It can also link to Strava !
August 8, 20196 yr Smart watches have this built in, is this a possibility?, can download data etc too. Mine has the km markers etc. Just a suggestion.
August 10, 20196 yr Have you tried Komoot - You can have offline maps downloaded - Relatively easy to export post ride.Sent from my W-K510-TVM using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
December 4, 20196 yr Author A serious cycling buddy recommended RideWithGPS, so I’ve downloaded the free app. I searched the routes near me and didn’t recognise any pub names, so it looks like I might’ve fallen in with the wrong crowd.
