Hi, I would like to stop studying here at university and change to a marriage visa. What kind of paperwork would I need from my university? Or do I just need to leave the country?

I believe there is two options for the marriage visa? I would like the one where I would have to leave every 90 days, I believe this has no financial requirements? What kind of paperwork would I need for this? I have a little business in the UK but doesn't bring in enough to fulfill the 40k requirements and I need about 8 more months of saving for the 400k.

Really appreciate any answers, information and/or advice you could give me. Thank you!

if you are on an ED-extension then that one will be over and done with when you leave the country. The easiest way would be to get a Non-O Multi in Savannakhet without financial proof. That will give you a possibility to almost 17 months with the use of 60 day extension at the end. After that you will have your savings and can make an extension that gives you 12 month permission to stay.

You apparently want to a apply for a multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage to a Thai that can only be applied for at a Thai embassy or consulate.

You can apply for one at the consulate in Savannakhet, Laos with no financial proof.

You will need your marriage original certificate plus a copy, copies of your wife's house book registry (page one and the page she is shown on) and her ID card signed by her. The fee for it is 5000 baht.

Also at the consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with no financial proof. Or at the embassy in Hanoi.

With financial proof of 400k baht in a bank you can apply at the consulate in Penang, Malaysia.
