I have been reading on Thanaleng station and it seems some expats and visa runners avoid it due to not having any public transportation options into Vientiane.

 

A google search confirmed no tuks outside the station (Nong Khai and Udon both have many tuks).

 

Is it really that devoid of transport options? Is there any option at all, even calling for a taxi to pick you up?
