Kenyan, Nigerian charged with smuggling coke

A Kenyan trying to enter Thailand was arrested at Suvarnabhumi International Airport this week after it was allegedly discovered he’d swallowed 68 capsules of cocaine weighing a combined 1,200 grams.

 

A Nigerian who allegedly hired him and others to bring drugs into Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries was subsequently taken into custody, Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) chief Niyom Termsrisuk announced on Wednesday. Niyom said Airport Interdiction Task Force officers arrested 43-year-old Glenn Chibasellow Ooko at the airport and then 40-year-old Joseph Ukpa Osita in Bangkok.

 

He said the task force had arrested 43 people between October 2018 and last month. Thirty-six were trying to smuggle drugs out and seven to smuggle drugs in. They intercepted 21,685 grams of crystal meth (“ice”), 24,100 grams of heroin, 30,478 ecstasy pills, 25,190 grams of cocaine and 32,214 grams of ketamine at the various international airports.

 

Niyom warned Thais travelling abroad, especially to Japan, to spurn strangers asking them to carry anything on their behalf. They could be duped into smuggling narcotics. He said there were cases of Thai travellers being arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs into Japan, most often women lured by the promise of free passage if they carried drugs in their luggage. Anyone with information about possible trafficking activity can call the 24-hour ONCB hotline at 1386.

I have nothing against coke, but I'd hesitate to sniff something like reported here.

This is the 3rd cocaine bust in a week......is it becoming more affordable ?

I forgot how many times have I read about Nigerians making <deleted> in this country. Ban them all from entering, not worth the hassle.

I assure you that I've never worked as a drug mule, but I've always had the impression that they swallow the packets (often condoms) and they come out your "jacksy" -- not go in that way.

i actually think i would never sleep again. 

Just trying to make a dishonest living, some you win some you lose 

big time, a long stay in the monkey house that will not be pleasant,

a reward for serving time from the boss will not be waiting or forth coming,

dumb choice, to disrespect ones freedom.

Why are people so dumb ? Never understood it, if you want to smuggle drugs try a country with less severe penalties.

should've just found a but plug and threw him away somewhere

Fox news yesterday ran a piece on talk of Mexico legalizing the distribution and possession of cocaine.....

The war on drugs has been an abject failure across the world

However, certain people in power (especially here) make a sh1tload of cash from it

     He'd get nice and high..... and at the same time realize that he was overdosing...  combination of feeling really really coke stoned... and a horrifying feeling of impending doom.... at the same time.  He'd flip out and go nuts... and then the universe would come to an end for him.    

        It happened to a drug smuggler on an cross Atlantic flight once..  He'd swallowed large prophalactics filled with cocaine....  and one burst half way across the ocean...  he knew he was in trouble when he started getting really stoned.. and he realized it would be a fatal overdose... he flipped out.. and all they could do for him was restrain him while he experienced his coke high.. and then died.  

   Fatal Foolishness.....

  Very rarely shoved up your rear....   Almost always swallowed..  They pass through....as long as one of them doesn't burst.  If that happens... you won't have anything else to worry about...  just say "bye bye" .
